Everton Sign Theo Walcott

..absolutely. The thing with him is that you know what you’re getting. Unlike Bolasie, Walcott is uncomplicated. He’s a fine mover on a football pitch, he’ll run in behind defenders and he strikes a ball well. My only reservation is ‘whether the game is still important to him’, whether he retains the same type of hunger that the likes of Rooney does, but his interview and demeanour since signing are very encouraging.

There’s no doubt he’s a good player and fits the criteria you highlight.

The fact he's decided to move up north, and decided he's had enough time on the bench is hopefully a good sign he's got the right determination that we need. It's a signing that ticks a lot boxes for us and I'm chuffed.

Yeah I was really surprised by his interview there eggs, like you have mentioned previously I've always thought he came across a bit too passive and a not arsed attitude. I've thought similar about the majority of Arsenal players tbh and that's why they've never kicked on the past 6/7/8 seasons. But hes impressed me there, actions speak louder than words though so I hope he produces the good where it matters most.

His signing really makes me believe that we will now be seeing Gylfi behind the striker, don't think Theo will be replacing Yannick who I guess will move to the left, Theo right, Gylfi middle with Cenk up top. Instantly will give us width, pace, a real threat. Midfield 2 from Gueye, Rooney, Davies or McCarthy unless we can unearth a real box to box midfielder and of course sort that left back out and we might actually see us play some football!!!
Liking the sound of this.

He genuinely sounds like he still has hunger for it in his interview. Whether that translates into the next three years is another thing. But good to hear him address than nonetheless.

Why do you say that mate?. That's at least the sort of figure we should be looking for from our wide men, over all competitions.

Remember he wasn't a regular starter with Arsenal, he was probably only on the pitch for about 50% of his game time there because they had such a big squad of quality players to choose from, and injuries of course. I expect him to get far more game time here if he stays fit.

Also, it may sound daft, but I'm not convinced that Arsenal's style of football suited him. They dominate possession and regularly come up against teams that park the bus. I think Walcott, with his pace, would be more effective on the counter, and I'm looking forward to seeing how he does when he has lots of space in front of him.

Because we don't even have shots ha I agree it's what we should expect from at least 3 our 4 players, but it doesn't happen with us ha.

I almost pleaded (I may of at some point) in the summer for this to happen. Proper chuffed with this one. Rafinha any Bertrand and it’s a cracking window (I know these two won’t happen but I live in hope)

COYB!!!!

Hope so mate, I think it's been a disastrous few weeks for us Evertonians, poor performances, poor AGM, Barkley leaving and so on and nothing brushes the old negativity away better than a good win and performance.

Certainly a few positive signs from Cenk last week and I've enjoyed listening to what he has had to say. Be great if we can just find the right chemistry in the top 4 positions to make the opposition have to worry about us instead of us worrying about the opposition and worrying about our weaknesses instead of pointing to our strengths. We just need something to click to get the ball rolling, a partnership in the side where we have something to look forward to.

I'm not going to be negative, but I can't hide that's how I feel. I'll keep an open mind and hopefully he'll convince me that he's a good signing for the club. But it's not about what you say, it's what you do. Good luck Theo.
