Confirmed Signing Everton Sign Wayne Rooney

If anyone was doubting the reach of Rooney's signing, it just made the 6.00pm news in the small Queensland town of Bundaberg.

For the record, football is rarely reported on, if it is, it's for a weekend wrap of premier league scores. Never for a new signing.
It's been on the local news here in Hobart too. Had the bit on about him and his pyjamas.

Woke up this morning (about three hours ago as I live in Alaska) and this was confirmed - UTTERLY made up with this TBF

Yup, he's 31, he walked out on us (really - he was an ambitious kid), he's a heck of a lot slower than he used to be - but the experience, ability and enthusiasm are all still there in abundance - the people that will benefit the most with Rooney in the squad - Davies, Kev, Klassen, Lookman, Barkley, Schneiderlin and Sandro. Add that to the possibility of Sigurdsson and Giroud being onboard - mouthwatering depth we have been crying out for, for 20+ years.

Look at the excitement it has generated already. This so far has been a MAGNIFICENT summer - with more to come.

Oh, and a BIG shiny new stadium, with the absolute BEST fan base in the world! Lukaku who? You Blurt.

I don't wanna derail this thread but what's it like in Alaska? Did you move over there or. .

When was the last time an Everton player's press conference was major news and trailing across media channels hours before it's held? In terms of raising profile, this has been worth the money alone. At the moment, Everton and Man U are the two clubs dominating the headlines - it just makes the argument for a top 7 even stronger.
