If Branthwaite leaves it will be for a Champions League club, not a club that is out of Europe entirely and doesn’t look like getting back in any time soon.

I would hope so but if they triple his wages what's his agent going to tell him to do? Plus he's young enough that if they aren't satisfy his ambitions he can move up the food chain again in a couple of years.

I don't think it's far off if a lot of it was cash up front. Could secure the club pending a takeover plus probably get 2-3 targets in the door. Ironically, because we've done our pre-season without him we'd be relatively prepared for him leaving.
