Would anybody take Sterling on a year's loan if Chelsea paid 75% of his salary? No club in the world is paying his £325k a week, but he's still lightyears ahead of McNeil and Harrison.

….without doubt, thought about this at the back end of last season when he was struggling for games. I’ve always liked him.

I can’t see Chelsea agreeing to cover 75% of his wages personally and he probably wants to stay where he is.

If such a deal were on the cards, I could see him staying in London somewhere

He's told Chelsea he doesn't want to leave on loan. Permanent only

Why are people suddenly turning on Myko? Feels like he is todays target. He has bene sound the last18 months, the least of our problems.

Statistically he is defensively one of the best full backs throughout Europe over the last year. Really don’t get the hate.

And everyone has a go that he doesn’t contribute offensively. But he is in the 77th percentile for goals scored by fullbacks across the top 5 leagues+ European cups

Our financial situation is doing my head in now. Teams like Ipswich are essentially out bidding us for players and doing things like an obligation to buy IF we stay up. Surely that itself goes against ‘playing fair’. How can we not have any money to sign anyone?? I hate to say it but I almost wish we had sold Jarad and Dom now. Shipped them out early got 70 and 20 and went out and spent the 90 on as many players as we could. I cannot believe Ipswich have now got;

And now apparently Broja and Clarke are next. Just baffling that we still cannot spend anything but also we have 2 loan spaces left and still haven’t filled them. Annoying.

It seems cos he quietly goes about his job people cannot see what he actually does.

Don't think so..... Peak Baines would still do very well no matter what team he is in.

Not sure mate, Baines defending for 70 odd minutes most of the time the edge of his own box with zero link up play on the wing ahead.

Baines worst seasons by far for us was when Peanuts left for spurs.

It’s the Everton way. Deadline day, get linked with some ridiculous last minute deals and come up with nothing. Except maybe another goalkeeper to add to our legion of them.

Yup he's a player should we ever wish to sell I have no doubt we'd receive a lot of interest, depending on the system he's either gonna be poor or very good depending what he's asked to do, right now he's pretty much ideal for Dyche really.
