Trippier isn’t that bad and Dyche clearly doesn’t rate Patterson, on a year’s loan to restrict the need to play Ashley Young and to have cover when Myko goes down with another injury, it’s a no brainer

Even if Patterson is average he is far far better than Ashley Young. Offers nothing going forward and a massive liability at the back.
