Yeah, that's what I mean as to why I don't think Gnonto would be a goer. For argument's sake, let's say the club currently have about £3m tops (because we know we're looking, but we also know we're almost totally broke) to put in for down-payments and to cover additional wages. Let's say a miracle then happens ans we somehow manage to get £20m for DCL and £5m for Maupay; how much of that would be upfront? Maybe £8/£10m if you're lucky.
So, even if we negotiate Leeds down to £12m upfront- it is still unlikely to give us the cash to cover the other positions. And that's IF we manage to get decent coin for the outgoings. Not saying if the above happens that we won't bring in a winger, just don't see how it could be Gnonto. Think that only happens if some Saudi Prince loses his mind and lashes £15m at us for Doucoure and Holgate too!

It's a very smart signing. It's why I doubt we'd make it. I actually think by signing him (if we sold DCL) we could 'get away' with just signing him and a striker. Still wouldn't be ideal, but there aren't many players we could sign who could give us what we need in multiple positions.
