It is utter madness to think another summer window is closing and we are still looking to move on Keane and Holgate.

Just over 3 days left of the transfer window and we are massively short in 3 key areas.

I'm staying optimistic for now. I hope we at least bring in a CM and RW.

he says 'us' once (still a colleague after all)
says Everton twice (as in nothing to do with me!)
His general commentary saying the poor form is with the club because it was there before, the fans being unrealistic and not really to do with him also points to distancing so I'm putting 2 and 2 together here, and possibly coming up with 4.5
Might be misreading it but I feel confident he's distancing himself and is in self preservation mode

Unfortunate as I can't see any club willing to pay even 20M for him. If we're asking for over 30M and he's asking for over 80 grand a week, there's no chance he's moving this window.

He'll like leave next summer on a free and what we could have gotten in a fee for him will go in he and his agent's pockets.

Yup he's definitely distancing himself in his choice of if language, intentionally or without realising he is doing so.
