Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

It’s how you train and what you work on in training.

Unfortunately for us Sean doesn’t it that way. Apparently it’s all on the board to buy him a striker and he just sits and watches
Nah it was pretty obvious for me, when he came in, we won't be going to that 50 goals mark under him, but it's obviously a problem for more than 5 years now...

There were intents visible last November, December where we played good direct football like against Newcastle, Brentford or Bournemouth. But it's been maybe in 6-7 games under him.

Its more important to get a solid first team RB sorted first. Then at least we can have a solid starting back 4 to start every week instead of having two over the hill RB being in and out of the team depending on when Coleman get injured or Young gets sent off.
we have 4 right backs at the club. we have one left back. If Myko gets injured or suspended we're screwed.

If Coleman & Young & Patterson are all injured we still have Dixon as a relatively decent emergency cover. Don't get me wrong, a better RB option would be great, but we have zero LB option other than a Myko who has started picking up injuries in the last 12 months.

Would that be based off the 350 games he’s previously managed scoring less than a goal game??

That’s all I needed

I'll probably get some heat for this ha - but if we're ever in a situation where both Myko & Young are injured could we do any worse than McNeil as an emergency LB? his defensive contributions for a forward aren't too bad..

Imagine the corners he'd give away running back towards our goal with the ball from LB position!!! lol
(I agree BTW... actually think he'd be a great/our first choice WB in a 3-4-3)

Yeah, this in combination with the players and Everton's previous seasons and the season he took over... He's just slightly over 1 at Everton.

I say should have ended with a few more goals last season, because conversion was a problem as well...

Surprised we knocked back offers for Doucoure earlier in the window (if reports are accurate).

I know a lot can change in a few weeks but we have better players in both central midfield and attacking midfield, especially if Mangala signs. Even McNeil looks a better player centrally.
