Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

The question needs to be asked... why did the club spend £15m on O'Brien when we've no decent winners, needed a striker more, and have the worst full backs in the league?

Completely and utterly baffling.

Because they’ve seen him as the eventual Branthwaite replacement. Which will have needed addressing next summer.

Lyon clearly struggling for money, it was a good deal & structured in a way that suits us for PSR. It’s a good job we did sign him with both Tarkowski & JB struggling with injuries atm.

Broja may not have been the signing wanted by many on here, but I wish him the best of luck

Sometimes it just clicks for a player at a club, just look at Salah before and since he joined them. What's to say it couldn't happen for Broja?

Might be a bit optimistic, but let's give him a a chance.

4 strikers for 1 position, unfortunately none of them are any good, in fact we could play them all and have 14 players on the field and our 4 strikers would struggle to get to 20 goals between them.
DCL is injury prone and almost Average.
Chermiti is currently injured.
Broja is Currently injured
Beto is gash.
Can you expand on why you think we don't need 4 players in that position? We have 4 and Currently 2 are avaliable and DCL might rupture a ligament while having his morning wank.

Most clubs who play with 1 striker have 3 players for that position, generally to cover for injuries, form and suspension. I take the point that Broja and Chermitti are injured but as we have Beto fit and DCL is running his contract down, we still have a chance to cash in on him and perhaps the reason we have signed Broja is to facilitate a move for DCL to Saudi.
