I can’t wait for Che Adams to retire so we aren’t linked with him every single transfer window
Well, id also make another suggestion, say we let the 2025 contracts - off the ones we wont offer new contracts to - run down and expire, but use next season to pad the squad out.
Heading into the financial year 25/26, we can count on increased commercial revenue from the new ground as income, while also using the space on the wage bill those contracts expiring creates, to better attack the market - now that's a bit simplistic given all the moving parts - with loans, takeovers and interest etc - however theoretically...............financial year 25/26 - should see an uptake in our ability to create revenue and we can plan accordingly, come July 2025 (maybe even before).
So 160m for those 3 players, 60m to the Stadium, 40m for Beto and Chermo, 40m till the Sky money drops, leaves us 20m to replace the 3 of them.Early indications suggest Jarrad Branthwaite, Amadou Onana and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have plenty of interest and may be the ones moved on to ensure the club can continue to operate amid the ownership uncertainty.
One thing is for sure, it promises to be a summer when the winds of change blow through the corridors of the club.
Next season already feels like an uphill struggle, even before this one has ended.
Mike Richards can be found at Unholy Trinity, external
I doubt we will be paying 40M this summer for Beto and Chermiti. So 160m for those 3 players, 60m to the Stadium, 40m for Beto and Chermo, 40m till the Sky money drops, leaves us 20m to replace the 3 of them.
We have no idea of the terms, either way, they will cost us a tidy sum I assume, it was buy now pay soon, not buy now pay never.I doubt we will be paying 40M this summer for Beto and Chermiti.
Yeah it's not buy now pay all next summer neither. We have no idea of the terms, either way, they will cost us a tidy sum I assume, it was buy now pay soon, not buy now pay never.
The only reason for the interest in DCL is that the vultures are looking to grab him on the cheap, taking advantage of our financial woes and the fact that he just has 12 months on his contract. No one's going to be offering us any big money for a striker with his injury record and recent poor conversion rate. We've got a decent player and it's not in our interest to let him go for the kind of money that we're talking about now. We should offer him a new contract and fight to keep him.Early indications suggest Jarrad Branthwaite, Amadou Onana and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have plenty of interest and may be the ones moved on to ensure the club can continue to operate amid the ownership uncertainty.
Im honestly not trying to be argumentative, but nobody knows.Yeah it's not buy now pay all next summer neither.

Didn't realise this was how it worked with parachute payments when clubs come back up. Tonight's result worth 5m to us then. Pays Gana's wages for the extra year.
Just signed extension at BrightonDanny wellbeck out of contract in summer would he be a good signing
And KoumasIm surprised we're still not getting linked with Sean Davis.
