We can rebuild on the cheap but we simply must stay away from the UK as there is little value here for us and many players are overpriced with the 'English' tax.

I don't think it's necessarily an easier option to buy cheap from abroad. Every single club is looking for those deals.

And the English tax can be overstated - Palace have brought in Eze, Olise, Guehi and more recently Wharton for no more than you'd be paying for similar abroad. There's a lot of English, or British, talent going abroad now for relatively cheap as clubs look to maximise profit under FFP by selling off academy products.
