I suspect if we sell Dobbin for a decent fee - we won't have a problem with PSR.

So the young lad we are linked with from Villa is valued at around £3-5 million. We buy for £10 million to help Villas PSR. Dobbin who’s probably valued the same £3-5 million gets sold to them for 10, helping our PSR. Neither club overspends as they make their money back and gain pure profit.

From a footballing standpoint, it's absolutely rubbish for the game though. I dont like it.

You should be encouraged to keep and develop home grown players. Not sell them to meet financial rules that serve no purpose.

This will be the end of psr as it stands, will become absurd

Yes although there are 2 separate arguments to that

We've been ran terribly from a financial viewpoint.

But do the rules actually serve any purpose ?

Villa have spent well and got CL football. Its farcical they are now forced to sell before they can try and kick on again.

The rules serve no purpose. Other than maintaining the position of the top 6. And ensuring that when a team outside the top 6 have success (like Villa), they cant just keep spending to maintain their success.
