Everton Summer 2024 Transfer Thread

Everyday that passes without Newcastle making a sale they will be getting closer to coming back to the table to negotiate with us imo.

We know how PSR works better than anyone, if you need to bring in a sale you do what you have to do. They can demand an unrealistic fee, sell ons and buy back clauses all they like, if its the end of the week and they still aren't PSR compliant they will come crawling back.

If this is the player we want, best thing we can do atm is play the waiting game.
Feel like, all Minteh has to do is insist on the Everton move and it’s a matter of time that he arrives. Although I don’t know if there is anyone that crazy besides Gnonto last year.

"Hi, we saw your listing for Federico Gatti. What position does he play? Can pick up this evening, cheers."

That's a new one for us blues were only "surveying atm". Is that better than "monitoring" thinking about, pondering, readying a bid, testing the water. File this one under nonsense, or as Everton would say, have no interest.

Perhaps he thinks we are a good fit cos Everton are mints and he is Minteh….works for me

Obviously we all joke about who would be mad enough to push for a move to Everton, but end of the day we're offering him the chance to be a starter for a PL team.

He's already proven himself in a worse league last year. I can see why he would push to join us over Lyon, to make the next step up in his career.

Had one good season in his career, they would want top money now and it would be a massive gamble.

Could easily see him reverting back to type and being a 6-8 a season striker , especially here, and we already have one of those

Yeah, possibly. It’ll be interesting to see if he kicks on from here and to remain consistent.

Well we could sign him from Peterborough for £3 million or so (a guess on my part) or let him go to Leeds, have a good season and then pay £25 million. We have to get out of the mindset that we can take the best players from the teams a tier below us, that's how we got into a ruinous financial situation. We need to buy young players before they've proved themselves, players who are out of contract, players from "emerging markets" or old players who still have something to offer. We can't buy proven players in the peak of their careers from England.

This , at 3m there is relatively small financial risk … don’t put him on stupid wages and if he’s a success then great . Even if he becomes a garner level player we can offload him for profit … if he doesn’t some championship club will give us 3m for him next year
