Zat there’s lots of key details missing from this, like if we somehow managed to flog Beto for £20m we’d have to hand that straight over to Udinese.
 

We got to plan in 2 scenarios, staying in prem and championship. This doesn't make it easier. Limited funds as well, no matter where we play.

I wouldn't like to be in any of the roles for that.

IF we assume that Branners and Onana are sold, that leaves us with 14 players, money will be needed for Beto and Chermo, which leaves us the cash from Branners, Onana and Maupay, lets say circa 140m, minus 40m for Beto and Chermo, so 100m to buy 10 players.

I suppose a few loans and frees could lessen the burden, but its gonna be tight.

I also missed off the fact that if you are signing 10 players, you also gotta factor in around 20m for Agent fees.

And if we wanna do what Zat suggests and sell 5 or 6 players and buy 15, you are talking around 50m in Agent fees.

Which part of my maths is off Zat?

We have a current squad size of 24.

If we sell/return/release the 15 players you said that leaves us with 9 players, Holgate and Maupay arent named in the squad so that means we have 11 players.

For a Premier League match day we need to name 20 players, so to field a match day squad that means we need to acquire 9 players, to have a squad to see us through a season that leaves us needing 14/15 players.

So please, feel free to highlight where I made a mistake with my maths.

15 out and 9 in.

Also if we were able to bring in that £145mil and 777 (or whoever took control) had a transfer warchest of £100mil then we'd be looking up.

Surely no one buys the club and doesnt invest in the playing squad? They would want to safeguard their investment.

Its different at their other clubs as theres not the enormous money involved to stay in the top league like there would be with us.

I was being a bit tongue in cheek but in all honesty, no one in their right mind would actually want any of those players to stay.

If we can have a massive clearout + have a warchest it would also be the time to bring in a new coach/manager.

Heres hoping :p
