Zat there’s lots of key details missing from this, like if we somehow managed to flog Beto for £20m we’d have to hand that straight over to Udinese.
How’s it false? Explain.
And if we sold Beto, which we won’t, we wouldn’t be getting the fee in fullWell we certainly arent giving £20mil to Udinese this summer.
Likewise, Chermiti.
I'd be surprised if 5% of clubs would be paying transfer fees in full within either 1 or 2 years.
Theres no sense in doing so and I dont believe our club has ever done this.
And if we sold Beto, which we won’t, we wouldn’t be getting the fee in full
You do realise there is no such thing as a warchest, right? Here you go sweet pea, see above
15 out and 9 in.
Also if we were able to bring in that £145mil and 777 (or whoever took control) had a transfer warchest of £100mil then we'd be looking up.
Surely no one buys the club and doesnt invest in the playing squad? They would want to safeguard their investment.
Its different at their other clubs as theres not the enormous money involved to stay in the top league like there would be with us.
I was being a bit tongue in cheek but in all honesty, no one in their right mind would actually want any of those players to stay.
If we can have a massive clearout + have a warchest it would also be the time to bring in a new coach/manager.
Heres hoping
Yup. Rich benefactors can no longer exist in football. Need increased incomeYou do realise there is no such thing as a warchest, right?
Wrong. I've got a chest full of Daedric weapons in Skyrim. Ready to lop-off Imperial heads at a minutes notice. You do realise there is no such thing as a warchest, right?
So we bought them for £42m but haven’t actual paid for them so are essentially free..On the books it would be shown in full.
Well we certainly arent giving £20mil to Udinese this summer.

Football Clubs don't want you to know this 1 trick.I’m confused, are you living in a world where we can sell Beto this summer and pocket 100% of the profit leaving Udinese with nothing? Because that is not planet earth you’re inhabiting there.
So we bought them for £42m but haven’t actual paid for them so are essentially free..
Then if we sell them, we take the full amount making a massive profit?
Fantastic business. Well done Thelwell!
Football Clubs don't want you to know this 1 trick.
But I would love to live in Zat World, a place were transfers don't need to be paid for and everybody buys our players.
I want to move there.
Lewis Hall at Newcastle seems to be going back to Chelsea. He was signed on loan with an obligation (incl playing clauses) to buy at £28mil with £7mil in add ons.
He doesnt seem to have triggered the clauses and with Newcastle having FFP issues seems to be on his way back to Chelsea.
Chelsea also having FFP issues and with Hall having a season with little game time may decide to (again) cash in on a home grown player.
As much as i like Mykolenko, if we were to bring in £20-25mil from sales I'd love to see him playing for us.
To add to this, if we could hold onto Branthwaite id expect this to be Englands left back and left centre back pairing for the long term.
An opportunity?
Well we certainly arent giving £20mil to Udinese this summer.

We have failed PSR, twice, that is money In and money Out.On the books and in terms of FFP we would be paying for them over the course of their contract. So now were one year in that would be removed from their book value.
Meaning if we sold at the same price we purchased him for we would profit on the books as we have aleady amortized the year off his book value.
Conversely, that sale 'profit' on the books is shown instantly.
So, in theory the club could win transfer FFP by simply signing players and selling them for the same fee every following summer (of course wed need to pay wages and that 12month amortization).
Theres other factors but the whole thing is rigged.

….not impressed with him at all, always wondered what the hype was. Big swerve from me.
…..paying £2.50 per week over 100 years is no excuse for buying poor footballers. All that will ever matter is buying good players, regardless of our budget and ability to pay. It’s not rocket science.
We have failed PSR, twice, that is money In and money Out.
I know how FFP works, but your understanding of it is massively flawed.
If we sign Beto for 25m, that means we owe Udinese 25million, now whether we pay in 12 months or 3 years, we still owe them 25million.
If we sell him for 20million, that means we "lose" 5million on the transfer, on our books we technically show a profit, due to how FFP works, but 25million at some point will leave our accounts and only 20million will come in, so we are 5million down on that transfer.
Its like when you buy a tele and you get 12months interest free credit, the tele might cost you 50 quid a month, but that tele doesnt cost you 50 quid, it costs you 600 quid, if you sell the tele for 400 quid after a month, you dont make 400 quid, you lose 200 quid.
Stop focusing on FFP, its not important, what is important is money in and money out.
