Hopefully an indicator Branthwaite is still unlikely to leave. In a perfect world you'd buy someone like Greaves to bed in for a year then replace Branthwaite in due course but if money is still tight it probably needs to be spent elsewhere.

There's also not been too much linking us to Greaves so maybe we just don't fancy him.

Michael Keane could be on his way out of Everton if the club successfully sign Republic of Ireland centre-half Jake O’Brien from Lyon, according to Alan Nixon.
