Alex 'Chico' Scott, the daily papers had big leaders about him signing for Spurs and comments from people who knew him from Rangers congratulating him on his move, meanwhile the Catt had him at Bellfield completing his medical.

Howard Kendal, nailed on to sign for Liverpool until he didn't and of course, our top signing in my lifetime, Alan Ball, he was nailed on for Leeds, I was watching the BBC news when they announced that he had signed for Everton.

We didn't muck about in the transfer market back then.

it was talksport, so take it with a pinch of salt, but apparently Arsenal was asking 50m for him, what is utter madness.

If the price was right, I would take him for sure.

Only agreed a new contract after being promised Game-Time, and since then he's he's just been shoved on a heap. Can't be a happy Chappy..

What with Paulinha having joined Bayern and them now having spent €130m this summer already, I doubt they will come in for Onana at €50/60m.

Has he been linked with any other teams? We'll probably end up keeping him, which would be fine by me, but not if it's at the expense of losing Branthwaite.

Lots of talk with him (Onana) and Arsenal, would be sad to see him playing for a club in the premier to be honest

We timed him deadline day to avoid being gazumped but recall a fair amount of press before announced.

I actually think @Goat is correct here with Fellaini as the talk of bids etc. was for Steven Dufour, when they were both playing for Leige
