20 mill they’ve paid apparently. Is KLP better than Gray and Gordon (combined fee 1.5 mill?)

Decent young player but we literally produced one from our academy better than him just last season so why would we get into paying those types of fees.
We were apparently quoted £30m for him, Brentford had an initial £20m knocked back according to reports at the weekend so must have come back closer to that £30m for him to be having a medical

We’re already in a better position than last season (even though it doesn’t feel like it)

We spent the majority of last season without Mina and DCL. Both should start the new season fit.

Patterson didn’t contribute at all last season so will be added. Same pretty much for Dele if he is going to stay. We didn’t go into last season banking on Gordon at all, how much would he cost to buy this window? We’ve also added Tarkowski. Add in a settled Mykolenko who can play from day 1 now.

We’ve lost Richarlison yes but any sort of goal return from DCL in the teens makes up for that output considering he was missing last season.

People will disagree but I just think if the squad can stay reasonably fit it’s a better one than what was being put out for a lot of last season.
I agree with all that.

If we actually do add what and who I think we will, I actually think we'll have a stab at a low hanging euro place

I don't get the weirdness around Dele staying. He's obviously in the plans or they wouldn't have him front and center in the publicity for the new kit.

Because I think Lampard really wanted him and figures he can get him back to the level he's shown he can play at. If he does we have replaced Richys goals, added creativity for basically 10m this season.

Been away, we signed anyone @Nymzee

Just this superstar:

If Patterson plays and is ready then we actually have as a starting Defence a very good one.

Pickford
Patterson - Mina - Tarkowski - Mykolenko

Big if but Mina staying fit, that's a very solid backline

Saints are quoting £35m for Walker-Peters which might be a tad ambitious but he isn’t going anywhere for £15m.
They can keep him. I cant value the lad, but if Lucas Digne is a 25M player, then at that price Saints clearly just don't want to sell him.

I think we could do worse than offering 3-year deals to Drinkwater, Lingard and Barkley respectively. Loads of midfielders. About £100k - £150k a week each.

When I say worse, I mean signing those three would be better than offering Rondon a 10-year extension at £600k a week. Apart from that, don't go near any of the useless carts.
