But hes one of the highest quality young midfielders in the country in my opinion.

IMO he will be a top class midfielder if he’s developed correctly. Could end up at Barca or Bayern… he’s that good.

Aside from the fact he will cost loads, all the players we been linked with in the past week or so have been out of contract types with an obvious view to us managing the purse strings a bit. We won't know till the summer.

I remember Barkley not pulling up trees at Champo level before playing well for us. Loans at poor clubs can’t always be a good benchmark of player ability.

He looks tenacious and snidey and he’s Scottish, which often makes a good Everton player. Sign me up.

CFS have Mount, Pulisic and now Gallagher as top 10's. Maybe we could nab one.

I certainly wouldnt put Pulisic in the same stratosphere as the English lads.

Still won't be cheap, and as I said we keep being linked with players who are OOC. Have to wait and see in the summer, nobody knows till then and its pointless suggesting otherwise mate.

Id be quite surprised if Gilmour was valued at over £15mil. Im not sure that he would be 'expensive' as hes not torn up trees and has a year left.

But you get some physicality around him, and look at Doucoure he has that, but is so poor on the ball. Someone who’s technically very good, will always give themselves time.

If Frank wants to play 433, maybe Gilmour holding and 2x 8’s either side.
Iwobi( give him another season) as one and then the other, probably a younger version of Allan, with a bit more speed. And then you back up is davies and Doucoure. With another.

It also depends on Chelsea being able to sign and sell players. Obviously you think that won’t happen. They’ve already moved the goal posts for them in terms of selling the club. And selling tickets to fans.

But maybe loan with a 10mil obligation next summer. If they stop them buying and selling, can they loan?

Just NO! he has to be the first out the door for me, he is just a horrible footballer, so weak in many aspects of the game and he is the first one in the team whose head goes down when things go wrong. Id give him away if it were possible, he wouldn't get in any other PL team imo.

I said when we bought him he’s was a 2 yrs stop gap. And got laughed at. He and Allan, who’s a better player. Were bought quite cheaply, because we were desperate for some physicality in the midfield. After a season of Gomes/davies and siggurdsson, we were crying out for some power in there

But I agree he’s a bang average footballer, he only has a year left and I wouldn’t give him a new deal, but can we get rid of the whole midfield and buy 4 in one summer?

I said when we bought him he’s was a 2 yrs stop gap. And got laughed at. He and Allan, who’s a better player. Were bought quite cheaply, because we were desperate for some physicality in the midfield. After a season of Gomes/davies and siggurdsson, we were crying out for some power in there

No I agree we can't get rid of everybody as much as we might want too.
