Everton Summer Transfer Thread - 2022

If we are going to sell players like Gomes and Mina it will probably be much closer to the end of the window as clubs run out of options .

From a financial perspective we are just into a new accounting year so it doesn't really matter when any player is sold as long as it is before the end of June 2023.
I think Andre Gomes will go on loan if a buyer can't be found and I think the manager would be happy to keep Mina for the season if, again, no buyer turns up but I do think he will go in this window.

We will also save on wages from a couple of other players going out on loan(Branthwaire, Onyango and maybe more) on top of about 20m pa saved from out of contract players.

Yeah no one is signing our dross because they want to, it'll be out of necessity.

Maybe napoli will be looking into mina now koulaby is going to Chelsea.

This has got to be about the 6th transfer window we have been linked to Dzeko. He said in an interview once that he would never return to play in England, something about the terrible weather, compared to Rome. Its not going to happen.

interesting, apparently he is very injury prone but according to the Athletic he is a "hugely gifted technician possessed of the rare ability to drive beyond opponents with and without the ball into positions where he can score or create for others." and has been compared to a young kevin de bruyne. Apparently Lokomotiv had a buy option in their loan deal for 17 mil but then Covid-19 happened and scuppered those plans.

Be interesting to see how much he would cost now

With 5 subs next season, having Adana Traore to bring off the bench and go mad isn’t a bad idea. Especially if the £10m is correct.
I think he starts if the choice on the right is between him, Gray, Townsend and Iwobi.

That probably shows how bad things are with Franks options currently.

What is the point of Branthwaite going to PSV. The Dutch league really won't give him the kind of experience he needs to thrive in this country. This club makes some odd decisions

Regular football
Champions League football

Will play better matches than Everton will.
80% of his games will be against poor opponents like go ahead eagles and nec nijmegen. In fact he will probably only play in the easy games as I doubt he will be first choice. Whereas if he signed for someone like Burnley on loan he would get a full season as first choice in a much more similar league to the Prem.

Why are you so sure whom PSV and Burnley will deem first choice

Hes done that though, successfully at Blackburn.

He would also be playing rubbish opponents 100% of the time.
