That's actually a very solid record for Lyon as well.

12/21 and 4 assists came in the french cup though which pads those figures a lot especially as he played less than 1400 minutes in those games v farmers.

You couldn't really describe either as a success. I know they're not in the Bolasie/Sandro/Tosun/Sigurdsson/Kone/Niasse/Walcott class as failures go, but the money could easily have been better spent.

Yes, he’s 31 but he is exactly the kind of midfielder we need. He’s like a 6 who can also play as well.

If Lampard could massively leverage his Chelsea connections and somehow convince him to come here then it would be our first example of Lampard demonstrating his own pulling power

Cornet + Gibbs-White are 2 decent signings if we can get them over the line.

Anyone expecting CL quality incomings were always going to be in for dissapointment - all about plugging weaknesses in the first team.

Tarky - Leader at the back

Gibbo - creates chances from midfield

Cornet - quick, versatile and can score goals.

Still need a back up for DCL and natural defensive midfielder.

King Salomon is back up to DCL next season. Frank is impressed with him.

For the record, Cornet can play CF. I think he'll be DCL's cover in all honesty. No need for a specialist signing in that position.
