Lampard will not want to be the man who gets us relegated. He'll know that will happen if we're not able to significantly strengthen the squad in the next month. Wouldn't be surprised if he walked out on us.

What kind of player is really going to want to sign for a club that's is almost certainly going down next year?

Kenwright is an impressive bluffer, but nobody could honestly be fooled by his sales pitch this time round.

World cup year. Players want to play.

Midfield is a huge task. It needs 3-4 at least and blooding the youth.

We're not going to fix things overnight. But a competitive midfield improves a defence and I'd rather not lose games if we can't score.

If a high offer 60 mill plus let’s say was to come in for DCL do we sell ? Does that money allow us to bring in 2 / 3 players ? As everyone that watched that game last night will see the quality isn’t there in the squad . Ok ok it’s pre season but we’ve got to be realistic also . Teams around us are all recruiting, sure not every player works out but it’s options and we are way behind in my mind . It’s worrying that’s for sure
