I mean its not like teams are offering us 40m for the 4 goals he scored last season is it?

I mean sides are offering us that.

Scouting departments are able to see beyond the "he scored 4 goals" stuff, and are able to analyse footballers, and spot signs that would make them better in better teams etc.

Sides would pay 40m for Gordon, some may even pay more for Gordon.
