Maupay gives me Naismith vibes for some reason. I'd take him. Causes problems and can score.

He isn't prolific but we don't necessarily need that. We need players that add to our goal tally throughout the season.

Iwobi, Gordon, Gray, Doucoure - I might be wrong but did they even hit 10 PL goals between them last season.

Find it hard to believe Maupay would come to us? We are legitimately a step down right now. Only wages maybe?

He is a useful player and a pain to play against.

It's smokes & mirrors with Chelsea - they know we are after loans from them, so they lump a bid in for Gordon who will never make their first 11.... knowing we won't sell ......

So any proposed loans are off the table from them ....

Where is the logic in doing that? They could just say no to us.

My personality alone Bob would guarantee me 10 goals for starters. Having a chat with the centre halves "how's the missus Virgil, kids alright yeah, knee fully recovered"...then BOOM I've nutmegged the knobhead and slotted in front of the Kop giving them the old Sheedy signal.

Yep mate, encouraging how he got into the box against Villa so I'm hopefully he'll score 25, or at least 6/7 at worst

I agree with the arguments for Maupay because I do think he’s an underrated and a pesky player, but I also can’t get over the fact that he’s being kept out of their XI by Danny Welbeck. Who I think is okay but can you imagine the FUME on here if we employed Welbs.
