No guarantees he becomes the player he is today if he joins us. Sliding doors and all that.

We shouldn't be paying anything either. He hasn't played the requisite 20 games that triggers payment - and nor should he ever. He is another ball and chain that the club can do without.

The deal seems to be in instalments, apparently with clauses that can take it to £40m. I think £20 m is due after a certain amount of performances.

I have no idea what the full terms are, but spurs are tough negotiators so Im sure there will be clauses to protect against us selling early.

He will be moved on in the summer imo, I don't see a future here for him. Also he only fits into a certain style of team and I just don't see us playing that way.

I'm just repeating my posts at this point

If we go 3 at the back then Niakhate,Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Godfrey, Holgate would be ideal.

Those 2 on frees and fees for Keane and Mina.

Tarkowski and Niakhate bring leadership, organisation and balance to the defence.

Beyond that its all about numerous sales and injecting youth.
