Does Kenwright decide which players we want to sign?

I've no idea what Lampard and Thelwell do - but whatever it is, it doesn't appear to be particularly dynamic

No but he decides what players we do sign.

The fact of the matter is the funds simply haven't been there to get in the players we want/need and we will end up selling Gordon last minute then scrabbling around having to sign the 3rd or 4th choice of players we wanted for inflated prices last minute.

That is the fault of the board.

Do you think lampard is happy having to play rondon? Do you think hes happy throwing away match after match because we have no one up front? Obviously he isnt being given the funds to sign what we need and yet again the board are at fault for it and yet again they are happy to bury their heads in the sand and let Lampard take all the stick for their failure.

Meh. We were desperate, we took a chance, it didn’t really pay off. On the list of cockups the club has made in the last 7-8 years, the dele deal barely registers at this point.

No, but it actually has reserves that don't leave us in dire straits when we have a few players out with a niggle, or in need of rotation. When we're fairly healthy, we can *gasp* actually use all five subs.

It's not great, but it shouldn't be anywhere near gash enough to be in a relegation dogfight all season.

Maybe, but maybe we’d have taken this deal anyway. The board has made many, many, terrible decisions but assuming we don’t end up paying anything for dele I don’t really think this is one of them.
