We are.

But the margins between mid table and a relegation scrap are so small, that the next few days could change it.
Agree. Our next 8 are hard. We need 6 points out of Leeds and southampton away in my eyes. This is why we needed to do our business early. Signing 4 players at this point it’s still going to be a difficult season.

Think Broja ship has long sailed.

Gueye
Garner
A wide forward/striker

Would be a good end to the window for me.

If Gordon was to go i'd want two in to replace him.
For me if this ends up being our window then Moshiri was right to suggest we judge the club/him after the window and to my mind this would be an improvement (Richy aside) on the playing staff front.

With the dead line in sight the powers at be really need to get their asses into gear….. and with that in mind here’s todays todays round up. Have a good one!

In the wake of a rather fortuitous point at Brentford, Everton manager Frank Lampard laid bare the situation at the under-achieving, erstwhile giant

“We have a big understanding of where we were last year,” he explained. “I came into the club at a tough time. We stayed up by the skin of our teeth with a huge amount of spirit. That’s a big plus, but there has to be a realisation of why were we there. I didn’t go into this year thinking: ‘OK we have made five signings, a loan, free transfer, so we’re sorted, we are going to fly up the league now.’ It’s going to take some time.”

Leicester and Everton are considering a late move for Al Hilal's Brazilian attacker Matheus Pereira, 26.

Chelsea have offered Everton Albania striker Armando Broja, 20, and England midfielder Conor Gallagher, 22, plus £25m in return for 21-year-old English attacker Anthony Gordon. (Football Insider)

Everton forward Anthony Gordon remains a top target for Chelsea, even though the West London club is looking at other players. According to the Evening Standard, Thomas Thuchel is interested in signing Crystal Palace talisman Wilfried Zaha before the transfer window slams shut, but Gordon remains his top priority, as well as former Arsenal striker (now of Barcelona) Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Standard expects Chelsea to go ahead and complete a deal for Gordon this week.

Adnan Januzaj is reportedly 'waiting' for an offer from Everton despite interest from elsewhere. The former Manchester United forward is currently without a club after leaving Real Sociedad this summer and is available as a free agent.

According to Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri, Italian outfit Venezia have been in talks to try and bring him to Serie A, but the 27-year-old appears to prefer to bide his time in the hope of a move to Goodison Park.

Everton have made an approach to Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal for their winger Matheus Pereira, according to reports. The 25-year-old Brazilian has played in the Premier League before with West Bromwich Albion, scoring 20 goals in 77 appearances across all competitions. He also weighed in with 26 assists.

According to The Daily Mirror, both the Blues and Leicester City are interested in Pereira who is understood to fancy a move back to England.

Everton have reportedly made an approach to try and sign Al Hilal winger Matheus Pereira. The 25-year-old will be a name familiar to Toffees supporters from his spell at West Brom, where he netted an impressive 20 goals and supplied a further 26 assists in 77 games across all competitions, including 17 goal contributions in the Premier League (Transfermarkt).

Hailed as an ‘unbelievable‘ player by podcaster Joe Wainman, and dubbed ‘really exciting‘ by former top-flight striker Emile Heskey, Pereira is now playing for Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia, where he has three goals and 15 assists in 34 matches (Transfermarkt).

Newcastle United forward Miguel Almiron is reportedly certain to leave this summer as Everton eye a move for him ahead of the transfer deadline. According to former Eurosport journalist Dean Jones, the Toffees are still keen on attacking reinforcements and have identified the Paraguay international as an option.

Everton are bidding for PSV Eindhoven sensation Cody Gakpo as Chelsea go to huge lengths to sign Anthony Gordon, sources have told Football Insider. This site revealed on Sunday (28 August) that the Londoners have offered £25m in cash plus Armando Broja and Conor Gallagher in exchange for the Merseyside sensation

Journalist Jacques Talbot believes Everton will get a deal over the line for Blackburn Rovers forward Ben Brereton-Diaz after making him their number one target, speaking in an interview with Give Me Sport. No side have met Blackburn’s £15m valuation of their key man at this stage – but Talbot still believes a move to Goodison Park will materialise for the 23-year-old.

According to journalist Paul Brown, Idrissa Gana Gueye is still close to signing for the Toffees. Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, he claimed: “Everton are ready to pull the trigger on that. They have a deal agreed with the player. The problem is whether he can negotiate the sort of exit he wants from PSG.

Everton may pursue a late summer deal to sign Wolverhampton Wanderers winger Adama Traore, according to journalist Simon Phillips. But even though interest has seemingly cooled over the off-season for the rapid wing wizard, Phillips thinks Everton could return to Molineux to sign the 26-year-old before the 1 September deadline.

Top work Bob ;)
