it’s very possible that could happen, depends how much their owner understands how football works. It’s completely different to American sports. Should he cut spending you could easily see them fall

Just the things he's come out and said too...like he wants his players to bring in additional revenue to the club like LaBron James does. It's like they've seen the fanbases and figures and think there's a goldmine that just needs some American jazz on it.

Yeah completely agree he doesn’t get it. Footballers are stars but there not basketball stars. We support our club not the players

Yes and because of that, we have to sell. Everyone knows we have to sell so we have little bargaining power for Richarlison unlike Raphinha.
That’s not quite true though. We will just have a lot less to spend if we don’t sell him. I don’t see the club selling for cheap because they’re desperate. This is not like selling Rooney or Arteta

They also aren't anything like the uberclub Manchester United are. I'm not sure Chelsea could shoulder the sort of parasitic ownership United have, not without dropping further out of contention.
Yeah Man Utd are a global brand where Chelsea arnt anywhere near as big.
Utd can afford to not be in the CL as their revenue streams are huge. Chelsea can’t afford to not be in the CL and have the owner take money out and stay competitive
