It's not about the loan fee - they'd end up having to add that to the purchase fee anyways, we aren't gonna be waving 5m+ for zero reason mate, the money's guaranteed income to us.

Juve are the ones pushing to bring him in a season early in order to sell him, otherwise they end up having to pay the same amount anyways, and have a player they don't want on their books who's on good wages, taking up a loan spot and who they aren't even allowed to loan out as he's not their player, all the while his value will be going down as he won't be playing.

Juve are trying to mitigate the damage from a simply awful decision to loan with obligation to buy that they made
I hope so.
Always nice to screw over Juve.
I can't see anyone considering paying £25 mill for him.

Yes and no. We don’t have to sell to pay the bills any more. That’s the big difference.
Well we don't think we do. Who knows how much of the real spending/funding was coming through "Uncle Uzzy". The rumours of a sale aren't reassuring.

Either way, financially it's a mess on the books so we need to cut our cloth accordingly.

The deals make sense, but Broja to West Ham looks done. Maybe Colville can come on loan?

Either way though, it makes sense to inflate, not deflate the fees. Youd have Gallacher at 45m and pitch Richarlison at 75m.
Why do you think Broja to West Ham is a done deal? Chelsea have neither spoken to West Ham, nor have indicated that Broja is for sale.

I just read that back in March, when Arsenal were sniffing round, Chelsea valued Borja at 57.8M! The lads not even close to anything like that value. Young with potential... yes. Overvalued massively, also yes. File under 'if he's that valued, then keep him and play him at Chelsea'. They're creating a fair list of young players there that are being priced out of playing football. Loan is the only option for them, or Chelsea bench (if they're lucky).
Chelsea never valued Broja at £57.8m. They haven’t put a price on him. Any price you are seeing has been made up by the rags.
