The Dutch league is like the Scottish league. There are about 3 good teams and the rest are about league 2 standard

They have teams that regularly hold their own in the CL and EL mate, far more so than the Scottish league, and with respect the championship too.

PSV are a miles bigger club and better team than anyone in the championship, and it will be a good learning experience for him.

What is the point of Branthwaite going to PSV. The Dutch league really won't give him the kind of experience he needs to thrive in this country. This club makes some odd decisions

It's not mate, some great players at PSV, Ajax etc.

Perfect next step for a lad that has hardly any first team experience.

Regular football
Champions League football

Will play better matches than Everton will.

As is always the case with these things, we can only really decide if it’s a good loan for him once we see how it pans out. In theory I’m happy with it and think it’s a good opportunity, but obviously if he ends up not getting games it’ll be easy for people to say ‘it was a ridiculous idea to send him to a CL club when he couldn’t get games for us’ etc. People always make out like these things are so much straightforward than they really are.

Can only really sign Colwill if we sell one or two CBs, we’d be overstocked otherwise. Not to mention that our limited resources clearly need to go on a defensive mid who can tackle, a creative player, and a lad who can put the ball in the back of the net.

Must say I’m disappointed we’ve not got anyone else in since selling Rich.

These things take time, more so than ever considering the constraints we're under. There's reason for optimism, though, considering the recent links to Gibbs-White, Anjorin, etc. There is work going on behind the scenes.
