Not denying any of that. But let's not act like DCL didn't offer anything in those other games. Can't be bothered with this argument again when most of the time it's because someone just doesn't like him because of non footballing reasons.
He scored 13 and then 16 goals in consecutive seasons. For a bottom half team, that's the best striker we are getting. He had loads of injuries last year and struggled for fitness due to that.
I can’t say for Chelsea, but we definitely will have a new starting midfielder in at least, Hopefully 2. Lampard interview made that clear after the game last night.
Sadly 90% of the midfeild combinations play for us.

Even though there’s a lot still to do I’m starting to feel cautiously optimistic about this window, we’ve brought in good players and seem to be looking at the right sort of players to complete the squad.
Way I see it now the bare minimum we can / will do with minimum initial outlay, is bring in both Gana and Gilmour or equivalent players, and a backup forward (at worst Batshuayi, but even he is acceptable enough if not an ideal age). Those three alone and we have a squad that isn’t brilliant but shouldn’t be dragged into a relegation battle.
Then if there is more money available, or we make some sales, or the right loan becomes available late in the window, then we can upgrade further, ideally with one more quality attacking / creative option and we could be looking pretty good.
