The difference, of course, being that the Wan Bissakas and Maguires of the world are simply tremendously fortunate but mediocre beneficiaries of an obscene football financial system, while Trevor Francis scored the winning goal in the 1979 European Cup final.Rmember my grandad going bonkers over Trevor Francis costing a million in 1979.
Why in the world would you want to come here instead of Newcastle...
I prefer Sarr as well - never been impressed with that Pedro whenever I've watched him.
Did you see them against City?Have you been to Newcastle?
Peak Kilbane was better than this lad. Let’s do good business, sell and move on.
…if we genuinely want such players, I have no idea what the strategy is to bring them in late.
Dont forget wolves players as well...how can the extent of our scouting be Watford FC and their two wingers?
Did you see them against City?
Heard he’s a big fan of horses so on principal is wary of fan bases who enjoy punching our equine friendsYeah but have you seen the city of Newcastle?
Really hope this Che Adams deal goes away
Watch us end up with Che Adams, Adnan Januzaj and Billy Gilmour as replacements. Its shaping up to be a VERY busy end to the window.
Spot onIf they can get through to next summer with a much improved defence/midfield I take that over wasting money on a stop gap, than the right type of player/deal.
I'd get in the right 6 before getting in the wrong 9.
iwobi and onana either side of a 6 and Dominic Calvert-Lewin in for at least enough games to avoid relegation, once more, might see us in a much stronger position to get deals done up front.
where closer than for ages at getting a proper midfield and defense, its not just the players, but think Onana was a good type of signing.
lads was a bit stage struck, but at least that shows he cares, would think he's working his socks off and will want to come back strong.
would like to see onana and iwobi play either side of allan and focus/get used to dominating the midfield contact
mids can bring more dazzle once Dom is back and focal.
this team needs to stop getting beaten before it starts winning
