Everton Summer transfers 2021

You would think if Nunes was close they would have it done and announced to alter the narrative.

As it is we owe Levy one for ensuring the headlines aren’t solely about our dysfunction.

Agree with that for sure, but we are talking about the beautiful minds that landed us in this mess…

Theres a couple of ways this summer window will go down i think:

A: We shift the deadwood and make some 'marquee' or at least intelligent and adventurous signings which can be clear in their aim of pushing us higher up the table, with the clear top 4-6 aim.

B: We move on a limited amount of players and sign players like Nunes and Dumfries who would probably cement us around 6-8th place.

I think we probably need 5 top players to break into the top 4-6 area.

Do we go for 5 players at say £20mil avg price or 3 players at £33mil avg price...or even 2 players at £50mil each?

If the rumours are to be believed then Nunes (£17mil) and Dumfries (£13mil) would be £30mil combined.

Pickford
Dumfries Mina Godfrey Digne
Allan
Doucoure Nunes
??? DCL Richarlison
Thats not a top 6 team compared to our competitors. Not by a long shot.

Its going to be an interesting summer...

I think the team above is potentially a top 6 team.

I don’t expect that to be the total of our summer transfer dealings, I assume we’ll look considerably stronger but that certainly would be a good start and if that team stayed relatively injury free, they would finish top 6.

I’d call it a top 6 team if they all stayed fit ...

I don’t believe Nunes would be a starter, Dumfries value would have jumped, agree with the rest of the back line.

Think Allan will move on, and Richardson will be the FFP saviour

Our starting line up will be a lot different than that

The story I read about him was that we were in discussion to sign him for €15m, but now they want €30m because . I could see the sense in it at €15m, it's very low risk and a good price for a back up striker, he's 29 so there is almost certainly no resale value. But at €30m it just doesn't make sense with FFP, we will need that money elsewhere. If we can get him for close to the original amount it wouldn't be too bad of a deal
