Everton Summer transfers 2021

Obviously we need other players, but being sniffy at potentially buying a player who would immediately become our best centre back is really, really odd.

The owner has shown he is prepare to throw money at the club irrespective of FFP; we need to drop the small time mentality and be happy that we're being linked with this nature of player.

If by whatever means White is signed, do you not think that they club would have spotted they then have 6 centre halves? I'd be pretty confident that players would leave as a result. Which ones don't matter really as White would be better than them.

Everton improve by buying better players. You don't spurn the opportunity to improve an area of the field just because you have players in that position already.
We’re not after Ben White mate, I’m sorry to break it to you.

The story is either from his agent or someone at Brighton. Being linked with someone on the Daily Fail does not change our mentality

I can't see many players being interested in playing for a mediocre team that can't offer Europe and won't be able to for sometime. I hope I'm wrong, but other than wages what do we offer?

Career progression. He's 23, would be playing for a much bigger side than Brighton, would be hitting his peak in four years where playing for a club like Everton is more likely to generate the move to a massive club.

It's the same reason it makes sense for Calvert-Lewin to stay for another few years.

He's the exact profile of player we should be looking at to be honest. Age around 23-24, big potential, massive profit opportunity for the club.

If we’re spending 50 mill on a player I’d hope it would be an attacking one. We have Calvert who has plenty of bad spells, richarlison that last season looked half the player he was. Other than that our options are iwobi, Bernard and sig with Rodriguez most likely being off. Could have the best defence in the world and we’d still finish mid table at best with them options.

rebuilding the terrible squad we have is going to take 3-4 transfer windows, absolute must we need a first team RB, CDM/CM, wingers and a backup forward. Hoping we focus on them first then rebuild elsewhere.

Does sound a garbage rumour however with rumblings of Utd after DCL or even if we end up flogging Kean to PSG for actual money you would hope the club gets in as many of its targets before we sell a player for decent money.

If we go and get £80+ million for DCL or £40 million for Kean selling clubs know we have money.

It's the mentality I'm concerned about. Not the specific player.

"Don't buy a top striker, we've got DCL." How do we ever improve as a club if that's how the majority on here react?

11 home defeats (including cup games) last season indicates we are desperate for a better defence
We conceded the same amount of home goals as Man Utd and less than Leicester last season. We scored less home goals than Newcastle, Leeds, Southampton, villa. Only way to win games is by scoring goals, if we don’t score or rarely score more than one you’ll not win loads of points. Best way to defend is by attacking, If your attacks terrible and midfield is even worse than you’re just going to be defending constantly and conceding goals no matter how good your defence is.
