Why would Everton look to sell DCL at all for that kind of money? I cant see Benitez wanting to sell either.

Where does £200mil figure come from?

I suppose if we sold DCL for around 70m nearly all profit it gives us the chance to reinvest circa 4 x what we brought in (depending on how contracts were spread). Maybe some of it goes towards paying down the debt for FFP compliance.

All I'm saying is a normal development curve for a good player has them being good at around now. You can look at DCL for example.

I'm not even sure why I'm doing this. It was a battle against nonsense as soon as people were praising how good he was in the derby because he put in a crunching tackle when he also made mistakes that led to their three best chances. No rational thought on this one at all.

Yeah mate we need a competent back up for DCL and a rotation option for Doucoure as we just lack any pace in the midfield when he's out.

Like Allan but would love us to find a Gana type to replace him although I imagine that will be more next summer.

I'm not worried that he's not the finished article mate I'm worried that the current article isn't very good. I wasn't suggesting you formed it on that one moment, I'm suggesting that the reaction to that game shows in general that people can't get the emotional side and their hopes out of the way. We've seen it with Bernard too. What people wanted him to be overtook what he was.

We'll sign a player or two a week before the first match but it will take three weeks for them to get an appearance.
