Unless for argument sake Benitez wants to go 3 at the back and thinks we are lacking a particular type of CB.

Whilst £50 million sounds a lot if its true that Dumfries has a £15 million or so release clause then £65 million for two good international players of the right age aint much anymore. Add hypothetically someone like Coutinho on loan, Romero on a free transfer and say another £20 million signing or so then its not really massive expenditure over the course of the summer.

He's not that young or that much of a prospect. I don't know it just seems like some of these posts are talking about him the way we talked about Stones in 2014 except Stones was 19 and brand new to first team football.
