we should be all over Eric Pulgar. Really good Chilean defensive midfielder

No and that's part of the problem end of the day DOF should be the one compiling targets and coach is involved in the process but not dictating it but we hire managers that don't fit this model so mixed recruitment policy it is... Which doesn't really work.
We need a right back, midfielder, winger minimum... Plus a striker and back up keeper.
That's 5 players, if we want quality, and real quality that's going to cost over 100m unless we get very lucky on some cheaper players we have scouted.
We need to find another Gueye going cheap and un noticed
That is why I don’t completely dismiss the rumors about Rondon (loan), Coutinho (loan) and Romero (free). Certainly not advocating for any of them, but it covers three needs (2 of which are squad players, not starting XI) in a reasonable financial measure allowing us to spend on a wide player, a center mid, a right back and possibly a center half.
Those likely won’t happen, but in a certain light they aren’t crazy either.
6 or 7 in sounds wild, but if we can get some folks sold it is what is needed.
American by any chance buddy??Sure but a 20 million dollar mistake is worse than a 6 million dollar mistake. Even worse, three 20 million plus mistakes, compared to five 6 million dollar mistakes. Its literally half.
I meant more they want the best goal scorer we had in over 30 years was constantly gobbling off for a move away at every chance but yeah sound???
It's awful when you sign Belgians and they end up being your best goalscorer in over 30 years.
He signed Sterling while at the rs, right? And a number of other pretty good players. I mean if we are going to look at his Newcastle signings then surely we have to look at his signings while at other clubs. I’m not saying he hasn’t made bad signings, but they haven’t been all bad.Sure but it doesn't matter what they cost at some point if you don't have any good players it becomes an issue. Isaac Hayden is in his top 3 at Newcastle. It's really bad.
I actually don't know if we do because all his other clubs were in the CL and that changes things in terms of who you can attract. This hurts to admit but the closest to where we are really is Newcastle. He signed Sterling while at the rs, right? And a number of other pretty good players. Weren’t getting priced out, he’s going to another club, who happen to be the Italian championsGood tournament performances inflate prices and reputations
Saw Dumfries being touted for us and then he had a good tourney, knew we’d get priced out
Still think James is dining out on his 2014 WC more than anything he ever did for any club
James is a genuine world class player when he's healthy. Unfortunately his last stretch of good health was 2014 and the spring of 2015. His per 90 minute numbers compete with anyone in the world and everyone has seen what he can do as well.Good tournament performances inflate prices and reputations

The constant referencing to Newcastle (from so many people not just you) is beyond boring, the man has managed alot of clubs on alot of different budgetsIf you look at his signings at Newcastle the common thread is that they're all pretty crap
I'm not sure you saw Fabio Aurelio play if you're including him on that list! Merino at Newcastle would be a much better inclusionThe constant referencing to Newcastle (from so many people not just you) is beyond boring, the man has managed alot of clubs on alot of different budgets
