I was just told it’s done and two more.
I guess one is Begovic...
Third may be the dutch kid or the one from sunderland...
Unless theres one Brands has managed to keep quiet.

Agree with all of that. 100% certain we’ll be spending decent amounts just know that we need to remove the deadwood before doing so as without it will be looking at near 100% wages to turnover which isn’t possible. Once the garbage is gone we’ll see first team players in.I think we will have money, maybe not fortunes but we will have some. It wouid make no sense for Rafael to take the job on sell to buy or Moshiri/usmanov getting a guy in, half the fan base don’t want, then not backing him.
Liverpool paid 4mil down for jota last summer and you see a lot of teams. Buying on loan and then paying for them the following summer. Surely we should be looking at deals like this if we’re cash strapped.
Rafael I think tends to play 4231. So James who can play 10 or right siggurdsson can play in the 10. That’s if they stay. We have options in midfield.
So it’s basically a new wide player who’s quality. Not Townsend. And then maybe a quality back up for Richarlison/DCL. So With James we then have 5 options for the front 5 positions. Then I don’t mind if Townsend is 6th choice. He’s not good enough to be 4th choice and Gordon 7th. If we sell iwobi.
But if he’s a free I’d rather wait till nearer the deadline. I think we could get a much better player as a free or a loan. A lot of teams will be trying to cut there costs
We finished 10th with a manager our fanbase said was world-class. How much quality do we really have?Disagree Dave. We have good quality in most positions. RB, another midfielder capable of playing through the lines and a pacy wideman.
Its like we've just gone 'well we need wingers. He's played in the Prem, he's not great, but cheap, so sign him.'
Monumentally skint with these signings.
Worse than @Theoneandonly crap posts lol ? I would take Perez over Townsend now lolMate, it's Chico, which means it is 100% made up.

I can remember us swapping Wayne Rooney when he was the world’s hottest property for Marcus Bent. Everyone had a meltdown, only for him to be a resounding success in the best season of this millennium. Then we all got giddy about breaking our transfer record for James Beattie, who was absolute TERD!
Chasing these ‘Hollywood Signings’ has more often than not seen us have our pants pulled down and bummed into oblivion. Most of them have been absolute cack, and we are now struggling to get rid of them.
Getting rid of Walcott, who wasn’t fancy enough for us, really cost us last season. We need to be a bit more shrewd than we have been, and stop getting bummed by chasing fancy ‘big’ names.
Have you not noticed that the club have exaggerated how much we have paid for a player on occasions *cough* Tosun *cough*? They do that to pander to the people that are more interested in us signing ‘big’ rather than being shrewd and pragmatic.
The signing of Iwobi was caused by pressure to make some kind of relevant big signing after chasing rainbows all Summer! We didn’t actually want him, they just knew there’d be a meltdown if we signed nobody, so they were pressured into making a horrendous ‘big’ signing.
It feels like we are mothballing the football club till the stadium is built, and heading for a Walter Smith type era washed up manager signing 30 something players to keep us around mid tableIts like we've just gone 'well we need wingers. He's played in the Prem, he's not great, but cheap, so sign him.'
