You mean Brands goes in for Grealish
Hi can we make an enquiry...£70m lol bye!
Hey, Buendia, werent you at Norwich...wanna come to us no? ok
Right, where's Ross?
Barkley, he's available for £10m...'Bill, Bill?'
Hardly unearthing the South American gems I was lead to believe he was going to be doing, is it…

we’ve got 4. One from Watford before he came in, one from Barcelona, one from Napoli and the other the 7th most followed sports person on the planet.

real undiscovered talent.

I really can't see the problem, with these potential signings? They are obviously squad fillers/players the manager thinks can do a job for him.

Firstly both free or nearly (£1.5 million is nothing to a premier league club). So little or no risk.

Our manager has worked, Townsend, before knows what he's getting.

Both have Premier league experience and are British.

I watched a you tube on Townsend last night. I know they would make me look like Messi, but he does what we need. Puts crosses in and tracks back when needed. Unfortunately he played for Palace so there was no one on the end of the cross, but they were in the right place to be scored from. Plus he does have a worldy goal in him, every now and then.

As for Gray, its basically a free punt on a player, who has lost his way. Seen him have some great games, in the past.

As I said, these are for cover and the bench. I have no problem with them.

If he doesn’t get some sort of break he will get exhausted and probably be more succeptable to injuries. It’s actually in our interest to make sure he has some sort of break.

Yes so we should manage him throughout the season, not give him a break to mid-September while he continues to play for Brazil

Pretty much this really.

Agree: for the first 3 games i would either not include him at all (maybe the first game) and put him sub after that. But note: i see Brazil play again Sept 2nd and 7th :(

Actually this thread lays testament to the problem with Everton under Moshiri. It’s not as easy as having money and buying your way to being sustainably successful, it needs coupling with smart recruitment, high class coaching, commercial leadership and many other facets consistently over time. There’s a million nuances that need to be knitted together with care and expertise. Instead we have you bad gossip gremlins thinking because you won the Champos League with Marine on your computer you have the formula to reverse decades of Everton underperformance. That’s it’s all down to signing new players for arbitrary figures and then that’s it, glory forever. Just as long as Everton sign the players you watch on YouTube and a foreign football package.

tl:dr you, mate.

Would like us to be linked with some type of marquee signing. Maybe look at the Italian squad/league?
Marqee signing??? we're fumbling around with those jarg self-erecting tents from the supermarket that people abandon at festivals.

Best of the bunch so far, Demarai Gray.
He won a league title don't you know. Proven winner... he even managed a few games for Leverkusen before they binned him after 6 months don't you know.
Champions League here we come!

He'll miss at least 3 games you feel which is annoying as we have a good start and could have done with him in getting points on the board.

Proper selfish by the player in all honesty.
Can understand him wanting to get a gold medal from a selfish point of view. Knows he has leverage too - let me go and I’ll give you another season. That seems to be what Benitez was getting at, although if the right offer came in I think we’d struggle to keep him.

Doesn't make any odds mate.

In that statement, a club employee isn't named.

In media coverage, you'll note all comment sections are disabled.

Libel/defamation laws aside, we also need to ensure there's nothing that could contribute to any potential prejudice of any investigation. An example of this.

My previous firm did a case for a local celebrity who had an allegation made against him on social media by a Twitter user who was attempting to remain anonymous - long story short the allegation was unfounded and the Twitter user traced. Said user agreed to pay a six figure settlement in damages. There was also the recent case of that celebrity doctor who said former NI first minister was having an affair (she wasn’t) doc had to pay up.

these sorts of cases are on the rise as well as subsequent criminal charges after the civil case for a whole variety of offences.

He’s not good enough, he’s a Leicester cast off. We’re signing players not good enough for our rivals. He’s done nothing in years, why are people trying to convince themselves this is a good thing.

Bernard cost nothing, okay he was on high wages but you could have rationalised that signing on the basis worst case scenario we’d be able to sell him and make a profit. Look what happened. The team is lumbered with low attacking output from the flanks for a few seasons.

Walcott, Iwobi, Bernard none of them were good enough - letting them go and replacing them with players who are also not good enough, albeit on lower wages isn’t okay. The risk is that our wide attacking players continue to have low figures for chances created, assists, goal contribution. As long as that’s the case we’re not progressing.
Don't actually disagree about the general direction mate it's very short term adding to the dross and Townsend in particular will end up starting more games than people like to admit....But Gray is the least worst because he has pace and is only 1.5m at 25 years old he will be worth more than that next summer.

We can look all we want at the Italian squad, but in all honesty, a group of players who just won the Euros are looking to play at the highest level, and aren't going to be interested in signing for a team that are finishing lower each season in their league.
