Everton Summer transfers 2021

Think we might get a good idea of who’s going out when we see who’s travelling tomorrow.
Apart from Rodriguez of course who’s probably only still here because of this tournament.
doubt it will throw up many surprising names who will not travel. I expect Bernard will not travel and Gray, Begovic and Townsend done in time. Digne might be a question mark if he is back in time or not. The rest were involved on Saturday so i expect they will all go.

Possibly mate, as we know Football finances are a very complex thing, as far as I'm aware we are still looking for stadium funding so I don't think the two crossover into each other, they might though. Someone on here mentioned a scenario (which to me makes sense) the other day. Usmanov seemed to be quite influential in the selection of Benitez according to some reports and it was suggested the other day that he has maybe said to Moshiri 'Look, I will give you your stadium but from now on we are going to do things my way' which I could understand as Moshiri has made a bit of pigs ear of things so far tbh.
Everything points to an increasing influence of Usmanov atm. Doubt he’ll ever be the official owner but it may well be that he finances or helps arrange finance for the stadium. He certainly seems to have been front and centre in terms of the last two managerial appointments.

Yeah he "could" have said:

Everton could have a front four next season (in 4-2-3-1 formation) of Richarlison, Iwobi, McNeil, Kean - Cost in transfers of £131m

Or under Walsh - Bolasie, Klaasen, Walcott, Tosun - Cost in transfers of £100m

That is what Brands does. He wants to make us the English QPR.

Not exactly making the same point though is it?

arent QPR the english QPR?!

Ian Wilson - bald with a Charlton comb over , worked hard , very little end product.
Edit - my recollection was correct only played 34 times and scored 1. 87-89
No. Don't remember him. Stopped going the game after we won the league in 87 as I started playing amateur footie again, but if he played so many times you'd think I'd have see him on MOTD at least.

Not to nitpick but where have you got the £131mil for:

Richarlison, Iwobi, McNeil and Kean from?

Swap Iwobi for James and that looks like a decent group tbh.

At 5 ft 7" he was easy to miss. £300 K wasted sadly by Colin Harvey . I only know all this coz I looked him up but I did have a vague recollection of him.

Find it really bizarre that we have had to pull the plug on spending due to wastefulness over the last few years and then offering the guy responsible(partly) a new contract
