Everton Summer transfers 2021

Find it really bizarre that we have had to pull the plug on spending due to wastefulness over the last few years and then offering the guy responsible(partly) a new contract
What annoys me the most is that a lot of the players that need moving on are ones he has brought in and he clearly can't do that. Giving him a new contract was just odd tbh. The only reason I can think of is that the club have some grand plan for next summer when a load of the contracts are up.

Not to nitpick but where have you got the £131mil for:

Richarlison, Iwobi, McNeil and Kean from?

Swap Iwobi for James and that looks like a decent group tbh.
Assuming Mcneil costs in the region of £25 million

Richarlison £50m
Iwobi £28m
Kean £28m
Mcneil £25

Thats £131m

Basic maths I know, but it wasn't intended to be a forensic detailing of the accounts, just a joke.

I think the original tweet was about the possibility of us potentially ining up next season with a forward line that cost us less than what we paid for Alex Nyarko some 20 years ago. Not that we should drop Richarlison and never sign anyone for a big fee again.

I think that point got lost along the way.

Who's paying 28m for Iwobi ?
