Spurs sell a 32 year old defender to the Middle East for £13m

Everton sell a 28 year attacker to the Middle East for 13p
Bernie was shopped around for over a year. I can't imagine we passed up multi-multi-million pound offers from quality leagues in order to take peanuts from a retirement league. The market is what it is.

I think Zat is saying that he hasn’t invested an amount that would expect to see us cement a place in the top 5 or 6. Which he hasn’t. Because that would be a spectacular amount.
Yes, but if we had spent the half billion properly, we’d be up there. Leicester did it on a much lower spend.
It’s not the level of investment that’s the issue, it’s quality of investment

Loads of things we can complain about ie terrible signings, spending big money on crap, too many managers, not buying in positions we desperately need but surely the one thing people shouldn’t be moaning about is we’ve not spent enough. We’re in the situation we are now as we’ve spent far too much on garbage.

seen something yesterday that said we’ve made the 6th biggest net spend on transfers in the last 5 years in world football yet we aren’t even close to being the 6th best team in the league never mind the world.

So likelihood is that Richarlison is leaving.
We continue to be linked to some seriously moderate players.
We can’t even get a reasonable fee for players we are offloading, while the neighbors across the park continue to pick up decent fees for all of their peripheral players.

Seriously, what the hell is wrong with this football club?
It’s absolutely cursed I’m convinced.

Love a left footed right winger me. ;)

Can't see United interested now they've just bought Sancho.

He used us and got a bleedin good wedge whilst doing it.

Not sure why so many on here defend him. It's not as if he brought us any success and the football towards the end of the season was as bad as it was under Allardyce.

I back ancelotti to the hilt when he was here (although you wouldn't of thought so if you'd been sat next to me during the match) but that was based on the chance of what he could bring to the club in the future.

In reality he was absolutely abysmal for us and had us playing some of the worst football I've ever seen. He did get us the win at anfield and the Emirates though so there'll always been that but he was bad.

We should have a right back already sorted and gelling with the team.
We’ve needed one for 2 years.

It’s the one position we can’t fanny about with and need to spend some proper money on.
I honestly think this is the most worrying thing at this point in time. We needed one badly before the start of last season, now we need one even more.
