Been zero talk of iwobi going regardless of everyone knowing he needs to go. Think Delph will go late in the window on loan with us paying half his wages
I honestly cannot see ANY team going for him. They will have seen what he "offers", and here is no way he will step down a league or country for game time imo

I was one of the ones who was happy we signed him, too

I think that will be the situation with Delph too - I seen Schalke are considering cancelling that Kabaks contract and paying him off to get him off the wage bill... I was hoping the little snake would have the same treatment.

Actually, didn't we do that with Sandro? maybe they think we will get actual money for Delph.
Ideal world that's what should happen but comes down to finances . Need to get that snake out the door. Id rather pay him off and give the young lad Tyler O (cant spell his name) a go if he gets back from injury ok.
As you said they may play the game and wait for someone to come in late with a small fee for Delph . His Amazon video will do the rounds again on deadline day and some club will panic buy

Before I say the next bit, can we just establish that I think he's been mostly terrible for us and I'd love to sell him?

We know Benitez seems to favour a 4231 which means we need someone who can play as a number 10. James is on his way out and for other reasons we won't get into, we lack any other player at the club currently (and probably this season unless things change) who can play in that role other than Iwobi. So as things stand, he's probably seen as a useful squad player by default, particularly because he can play (after a fashion) in both wide areas too.

You are probably not wrong tbh. He is seen as cover. Gray and Gordon could do the role too and better but we know no one in their right mind will take Iwobi. Im all for giving the young lads a chance than replace rap with more crap

Well coz quite frankly i watched a few of the games he played against better opposition in france and he was either on the bench or hooked after an hour because he was so ineffective. You're quoting someone who is more proven scoring against both so thats completely pointless.
Who knows. New manager. New start. But he's shown every sign he hasnt wanted to be here so he has lots to prove. Which is the opposite of the way some go on about him.
Once again the lad is 21and no its not pointless to state that the position of saying the lad only scores against crap opposition is a nonsense statement a goal is a goal no matter who against. Was lineker poor because he only scored goals in the six yard box obviously not. He's shown every sign he doesn't want to be here? Lets see if you had just been playing in a team that has neymar, mbappe etc in it and you come back to a team with davies, iwobi etc which team would you fancy? No manager at Everton who has had him has given him a fair chance (maybe he is crap) but those managers have hardly covered themselves in glory without him in their teams including Ancelotti, plus the new manager at PSG was, according to reports, close to being sacked after 6 months so who knows. I'd just like to see him given a fair chance before we consign him to the scrap heap.

Don't have much of an opinion on this, although I do seem to remember that it was under Benitez that this lad looked really good, but seems to have dropped under the radar since Bruce came in
He did look good, but it was a while ago, and, as you say, he has disappeared since. Perhaps he works better with RB

Did he do that well at PSG?
When you look more closely he scored many of the goals against the bottom 5/6 in that league.
And you have to ask if he did that well why PSG couldnt be arsed putting their hands in their pocket to sign him. That says more about peoples opinions to me. Money talks. Bullsh!t walks.

Yes he did very well at PSG hence why their fans want him to sign for them.

Didnt he finish their 2nd top scorer...playing as a poacher...

With us he was used as a target man...hes not a target man.

Longstaff for Davies? That would generate some feeling.

Would be the most pointless move in the history of pointless moves.

Not sure who is the better player of the two. Newcastle fans seem to think hes not the same player after his knee injury.

I think id rather take £12.5mil if it was on the table for Davies as rumoured last summer.

Davies seemed ok to me at times at a 6.

Islove to know what Zats got against Keane.

And FWIW I have seen no evidence that Kean would score more in the PL than Ings.

Keane does well in a deep defence...play any other way and hes a liability.

Yet nobody in world football wants to buy him - despite him being a similar price and 8 years younger

Im sure theres plenty of teams who want to buy Moise Kean.

Iwobi is the turd that simply refuses to flush.
A latter day Bolasie if you will. At least Bolasie had the excuse of getting a bad injury though, this guys just pure putrid.

Edit: you can put Tosun and Delph in this category too.

Yes he had his injuries but they were mainly in 2015 - 17. He has played 91 PL games and 9 cup games in the last 3 seasons. I would be happy with that number of games played. As Villa play one up front he won't be needed to play all 38 games each season. There is no question it is a risk buying Ings but that is reflected in the reported 25m fee

I just think you could of gotten someone like Abraham for around £35m who id say is better then ings in pretty much every way.

Ings is a goal scorer no doubt but hes on borrowed time with those knees.

The problem is we massively overpaid for him.

We'd probably be able to sell him for £10-15m to somebody, but there's not a chance we'd be willing to take that sort of loss.

So we're stuck with a useless player sucking wages out of the club - again.

I disagree, it’s a return on what was paid and gets him off the wage bill.
Reckon they’d snap anybody’s hands off.
