You would have hoped that Brands would have been planning ahead for this window and have some imaginative sales lined up...

...either swaps / loans / sales where we contribute to wages.

Alas, it looks like hes done nothing aside from sign:

1 player who failed to get promoted
1 player who was out of contract
1 player who was available last Jan

Theres no way we were after these players before Benitez was appointed...each of them only recently became available.

Looks like zero planning to me.
 
I’m 50 and I think I’m finally broke by Everton, used to look forward to the start of every season. Can’t be arsed anymore. Coming on here or Twitter to read that Davies had a good game and can still come good, even though he’s had 6 yrs and 150 games.

Or that Gomes needs more time after his injury. Or another season of watching Colman or listening to his rallying cries, I’m not sure which is actually worse.

I may leave here and Twitter and watch Everton from a far for 2yrs. And pray by the time that comes around. Most of the wasters at the club, and that includes people not on the field. Have gone and we’re finally starting to be run like a proper club. And hopefully halfway through the the ground build. And who knows maybe things will be looking up. Because I’m loosing the will to live.

Its worth staying on here solely to see peoples heads fall off this season.

I have a definite sense of apathy now and also am incredulous that a billionaire accountant has us on the cusp of FFP trouble.

By hiring such different managers each time theres no continuity and players have all been signed to play different systems.

Then to top it off, our DOF cant even sell his own signings...

...oh and now we have a negative manager who shouldnt even have been interviewed....

And three of the signings we used to make in the 90s lol

He’s not good at any one thing is he, slow, can’t pass, can’t tackle. Can’t imagine him leaving, he’ll be here, coming on for 15/20 mins at the end of games to stop us conceding anymore
 

The powers that be getting what they wanted out of FFP finally.

Clubs like Everton and Wolves hamstrung, Villa needing to sell their best player to spend whilst the Utds and Arsenals of this world can throw millions around.

City signing Grealish
Chelsea signing Lukaku

Disgusting - why the PL can allow it when all it does is make the product of the league poorer overall and more predictable.

Constantly. Had a good game in the 2nd half apparently. And this is not just about Davies and it’s not his fault he’s still at the club and still getting picked. But if we’re serious about challenging, then he would be nowhere near the squad. Never mind the team

Yes but the league is more interested in protecting the precious brands of United, Arsenal etc. God forbid a team like Leicester displaces them permanently
