Slim and very dubious pickings…..

Everton are reportedly in talks over a possible move for Kalidou Koulibaly this summer. According to Soccer Link, via Goodison News, the Blues and Paris Saint-Germain have made an approach to sign the Napoli defender in recent weeks.

Inter Milan will reportedly use money earned from the sale of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea to sign Everton target Denzel Dumfries. But according to Italian regional daily Corriere dello Sport, via Inside Futbol, Inter repared to push forward with their interest in Dumfries and get a deal completed by the end of the week.

Everton manager Rafael Benitez is monitoring the situation of Newcastle United midfielder Sean Longstaff, according to The Athletic. The Magpies have reached an agreement with Arsenal for the permanent signing of Joe Willock, and Longstaff’s Newcastle future will now come into question as a result.

French expert Adam White reckons that both PSG and Moise Kean are interested in making a loan return possible – but there are complications in a potential deal. White told The Transfer Tavern:

“RMC reported last month that both PSG and Kean would be keen for another loan, but those talks are becoming increasingly complicated because all the signings PSG are making, and they need to sell other players, but those are going to be factors.

“But PSG and Kean would be keen on a return. He was really good last season; he was surprisingly prolific and scored some important goals in the league.”
Do PSG not have players we can swap/loan in return for kean?

I know he isn't the Hollywood signing but he is a good Premier League player who was lined up by United for £50m not too long ago.

Sky Sports reported 'interest' from Manchester United but also reported that Manchester United had been put off by Newcastle's '50 million pound valuation' in the space of the same news article.

That's were the 50 million story stems from.

No 50 million pound bid was lined up.

The reality now is that he's been crap for years and nobody wants him, including Newcastle.

I am shocked on how much hate Sean Longstaff is getting.

I know he isn't the Hollywood signing but he is a good Premier League player who was lined up by United for £50m not too long ago.

To be fairly honest I'd rather have him over Delph or Gomes.

Mate United wanting to sign a player a few years ago is hardly a measure of a players talent. They've signed almost as many duds as us over the past 10 years, Fred @ £50m stands out.

Longstaff coming in, coupled with the other signings we've made would completely set the intentions for this club whilst the stadium is being built: stay afloat and survive in the PL.

Would be different if we could get him at price we got gray for. As would have re sell value on him, still wouldnt think good enough but atleast could get money on him

….I don’t think we have one pushing at this point in time. At one stage John looked promising but hasn’t realised that early potential, the likes of @blueloon has more knowledge than me.
Yeah that’s a good summary, we don’t have a right back currently pushing on below Kyle John. Seb Quirk played RB in recent u23 game, a converted winger/ midfielder who’s not great at RB. Matthew Mallon 17 , is likely to be the best option at U23s this season, talented but inexperienced. Below him at u18 we have a 16 year old , Roman Quintyne who’s , rapid , strong , and looks very talented. So , nobody coming through to the first team at Right Back yet .
