Everton Summer transfers 2021

You are accusing the club of mid table mediocrity because you have associated Everton with buying an average player that you have suggested even though there is no suggestion anywhere that Everton have an interest in the player.
There isn’t a link - but villa, who were nearly relegated, are now outperforming us in the transfer market, and probably on the pitch. I am excited about Gray though - he could be a very good option for us.

The problem Moise Kean is not that he doesn't seem to be highly rated at Everton but that nobody else seems to rate him either.
Some people here talk about how well he did at PSG but obviously not well enough for PSG to want to spend money on signing him.
You would think he would be the ideal signing for Inter to replace Lukaku so let's see how that goes.

Villa have lost their best player by a country mile. He was also their captain.

I can imagine what would be said on here if we spent 30m on Danny Ings and their other signings have never played in the Premiership.

I am not saying they are bad signings , they may be brilliant but I can't see how anybody can say that Villa are out performing any club in this window.

I dont control who Everton target mate im just saying if the club seem interested in McNeil then thats the likely scenario that will happen rather than McNeil playing on the right.

I personally think McNeil is a Leicester type signing - young, english, hard working, good potential everything we haven't signed in recent years.

We have one of the best headers of the ball in DCL yet only have Digne who can put in a decent cross. We need more players able to whip a good ball in and McNeil fits the bill. Dyche will also have the lad used to tracking back / being disciplined in shape/formation.
I agree mate.. if the club was run right. Hes young English with plenty of potential if we needed a lw hed be perfect even though hes slow. We have Digne to cross ball leftside and Ritchie and gray as lws. We've nothing on the right though we should be identifying similar talent for rb and rw everyone of us know that - Its a pity the club dont. The whole rightside and a ball carrying midfielder is were we need plugged. Another lw is the last position needing addressed unless Ritchies leaving.

Sounds from the Athletc that we are struggling to afford Rondon!

And Longstaff is just yet another slow player.

McNeil favours playing as an orthodox winger wide on the left I thought. We are in greater need of a quality player on the right side. Also we have no goal scoring midfield players so our wingers/wide forwards are going to need to score. Appreciate he is playing for Burnley but I don’t see 10 goals a season from him

My take on McNeil is that youre not buying him at 21 for 2 goals and 5 assists in a Burnley team.

Youre buying him because you hope he can get 4 goals and 10 assists in an Everton team.

Humbly admitting that I have only watched YT highlights. But Zakaria is exactly the type of player we need. Quick, can carry the ball and put in a tackle.

He would work well with Allan, JPG and Doucoure.

If we could flick Kean and grab him and an RB I'd be quite content.

Top top top player, then suffered a major knee injury.

By the looks of things he has had a minor issue with it back in Feb.

As reliable as you're going to get from the Athletic today, btw...

Working on a shoestring budget, Benitez has turned in part to what he knows best: Townsend, a favourite from his time at Newcastle; Demarai Gray a long-time target. Sean Longstaff, another who played under the Spaniard at St James’ Park, remains on the wish list. The pair have kept in touch, with initial talks held over a move. Benitez favourite Salomon Rondon, currently at Dalian Professional in China, has also been on Everton’s radar, but a move earlier in the window was thwarted by complications over how the deal would be structured.

Begovic
Gray
Townsend
Longstaff
Rondon

:)

Even when i type it out it feels like im in a dream...
We are, and I cannot stress this enough, a total mess.

We aren't going to push the boundaries on P&S/FFP, but we're then actively looking to add a 31-year-old (32 next month) who has been in China for the last two years to the sqaud, move out our only really high calibre player, and bring in Longstaff who offers nothing that we actually need in midfield :D

And for people who say 'what about the Zakaria rumours' etc, I'm sure we are interested, but it's abundantly clear we do not have the money (whether that's not being able to spend it or just not having it is really irrelevant).

Genuinely think that the main objective this season is just going to be to avoid getting dragged into a relegation scrap

The Italians do loan deals for 1 or 2 seasons with obligations to buy.

Not sure why weve not managed to do that with a couple of clubs who need money.

Hope this fella is better than him too then…..

incidently if he is any good, it begs the question why Man U aren’t hoovering him up if only to sell at a profit being as their academy’s are linked (iirc)
