Good, keep him around love MinaYeah but I can’t see him moving upwards from us. He’ll stay for a few seasons and then get a downgrade somewhere for a nominal fee so he’s not going to generate a big return for us.

It depends I think. I don't mind Mina but I'm not sure he's a £30m, £100k a week player if i'm honest. There aren't many clubs who could afford to pay him anything like what we (reportedly) do, and not many of the ones who could, would.Mina is 26, has two years left on his deal and has probably been our best defender over the course of the season.
We're gonna have to make a call on him this summer but if we put him up for sale we'd get a fairly decent return.
Even Gomes, Iwobi, Bernard (as we saw in Jan), Kenny, there will be buyers for them, just not at the price we paid (for the first two).
If we want to sell him, and I'm not saying that we do, we could easily generate £20-25m for Mina. All sales don't have to be high value upgrades or nominal downgrades. West Ham, Newcastle/Fulham if they stop up, Leeds or many others could all be viable optionsYeah but I can’t see him moving upwards from us. Same thing honestlyI was talking about Ward Prowse
Was reading an Athletic article on Aarons yesterday.
His ball carrying stats are really, really good. He runs with the ball, at pace, a lot.

Does this mean forward runs with the ball or just literally running up field?
Yeah it’s not a case of saying get rid, I’m more saying I’m not sure the decision will be ours to make. Realistically there will be very few clubs willing to do a deal for Mina with the sort of fee and wages involved. It’s not that he’s not good, but very few teams pay £25m+ and £100k+ a week for centre halves. I can’t imagine that many of the ones that do will have yerry Mina at the top of their list.Yeah, though do think his importance to the squad (supposedly one of the most popular members of the squad and I think we're a better side with him in it too) can't be understated - he's been a big part in James coming, for example.
We'll just have to make a decision either way. At his age and his contract, we have to either stick or twist.
Big Ol' stick for me, probably been our best CB this season, solid, actually quite comfortable with the ball and great in the air. I wouldn't give him a rise in wages but if he is willing to stay on the same just extend then i'm all for itYeah, though do think his importance to the squad (supposedly one of the most popular members of the squad and I think we're a better side with him in it too) can't be understated - he's been a big part in James coming, for example.

Yesdoes it matter ? He runs which is a start
Is he better than what we currently have? Is he young enough to also develop his game further?
Better than we currently have is a pretty poor standard when we've got maybe the worst set of RBs in the leagueIs he better than what we currently have? Is he young enough to also develop his game further?
The answer to both these questions is yes, sign the lad up
Max Aarons will improve us as a team, works hard, young enough to mould into a very good player. I don't see the downside.Better than we currently have is a pretty poor standard when we've got maybe the worst set of RBs in the league
30m at least, didn't show anything in his lone PL season, isn't showing much attacking prowess while playing in the best attacking side in his current league, 5'7 so an immediate target for sides to play balls at. I think there are questions at least.Max Aarons will improve us as a team, works hard, young enough to mould into a very good player. I don't see the downside.
