Everton Summer transfers 2021

I'll give a dif view.

Richarlison can go if he wants out and is easily replaced. Last year he wasn't no where near his normal levels and sulked most games.
Mina i rate. He is rather injury prone and does get caught out due to his lapses of concentration. Again replaceable and i'm sure he would sign an extension. Moreover, we have the king Godfrey.
Allan and James have just turned 30

We purchased the players you're worried about leaving, so there is an indication we know how to buy them.

Positiveeeeee
I'm fine with Richarlison leaving too.

I wouldn't call having 5 good players good use of the market.

King Godfrey. Can't wait for the flip on that one because it's coming.

I'm very interested to see how we get on in the next few weeks. I really hope that there's a turnaround with James and Kean staying with us because if they do I think both will be a massive help to the squad. It's easy to try to flog those 2 because they're actually worth some money but I'd actually much prefer the club put on a fire sale of Delph, Iwobi, Davies, Kenny, etc. Surely someone wants to put some form of money towards them however big or small. It's played out but if Gbamin can stay fit he will be like a new signing and will contribute.

Minimum need for us is a right back and a winger, that's with Kean and James staying too. Ideally adding to that would be a central midfielder but I can see us keeping Gomes or more likely Davies as depth. Some smart loans and an investment into a starting right back will benefit the club greatly and set us on the right path and that is how this window can be salvaged. If however we get rid of Kean and James, we have them to replace them first off, then a starting right back and a very good winger as well as a creative midfielder.

I can't see us bringing in 5 players that will raise the quality of this squad so if Kean and James leave then I think we're in trouble. Currently as it stands we have a balanced squad that is mostly average in terms of quality but should do "fine", there's plenty deadwood still though and priority should be getting them out at all costs not people that could actually contribute to the squad. Let's hope someone like Palace or Wolves start off awfully and panic buy our dross towards the end of the window.

Very well considered post, I completely agree.

If we keep James and Kean, and Gbamin stays fit along with signing a starting RB, then we have improved the squad.

The cherry on top would be another ball carrying CM or RW with two of Delph, Gomes, Davies, Kenny and Iwobi also going out.

Agree, after all Kean and Gbamin are additions to the squad that we didn't have last year in positions we needed. Add a right back and a winger and it's definitely a successful window for us. A CM on loan or something like that would be a great piece of business too.

Any chance of getting rid of Delph, Davies, Gomes, Iwobi, Kenny, Tosun that might come up should be taken. Legitimately if every single one of those players left I don't think the squad even currently would be worse off without even replacements. With Gbamin fit Davies and Gomes shouldn't play that much and with Townsend and Gray here Iwobi shouldn't even get in the squad, the rest don't contribute to begin with. Also not to mention all those players wages off the books would be immeasurably better not only now but long term too rather than the short term strategy of trying to sell someone who can actually help the squad.

The problem is no one wants our deadwood - iwobi Davies Delph etc - any link is just paper talk. Salaries are too high no doubt. One big mess of epic proportions
