Looks like James and Kean are training away from the squad per todays reports.

I find that incredible when Iwobi, Delph and Gomes are still on the books.

I like to think I have a good eye for talent & have a decent understanding of football but when I see our crap are training with the squad and James ain't makes me realize I have no clue

I find it incredible that two players, who are still on the books and can improve our team, would not be training with the main part of the squad.

If it's true, regardless of their actions we shouldn't be allowing it, let alone facilitating it.

We’ve been hamstrung by players downing tools or been half arsed for years.. it’s literally crippled us. IF both players are not applying themselves with standards expected then they need to be made example of.
If I’m watching a team with energy and aggression tomorrow rather than someone swanning about pointing I’ll be very happy..
I’d also rather watch a committed and happy James.. but it is what it is.

I see Seville have signed 2 wide players in Lamela and corona. I wonder if Ocompos will be leaving. Someone we were strongly linked with a couple of seasons ago.

Ideally that would happen, but we don't know what's gone on and how disruptive these two players may or not be. It's the same with incoming transfers you'd like to think we'd have had the majority of it done by now. Obviously that's not the case and we're going to be scrambling around on deadline day, then integrate them in to the team takes time also

The sad thing with Everton is the plan is always bad, that's assuming they have a plan at all

Rafael press conference today will hopefully answer some of the questions surrounding James, Kean, the fitness of DCL and Richarlison and our transfer market positioning.

Let's hope the journalists actually ask some cutting questions.

We are a mid table side and have been for a while. Everyone wants us to be better, but with the current resources and squad, I doubt we can do better. That’s just reality and self preservation. There is nothing you or I can do about it.

I agree with the midtable point. However the problem lies in the squad and the quality and character of player we have brought in since martinez. There is nothing you or I can do about it but the club can. I presume that's why brands is there.

Certainly seems to be the plan , sell or get rid of all the apparent talent . Good news is it’s not like when Koeman bombed our Omar cause he ran about lots so this decision gets a degree of support , mind boggling.

We are trying to get rid of all of them.

The issue is Kean has apparently had a bust up and has shown really bad attitude and James has 1 foot out the door.

If they still have their lockers then it's a travesty.

Really hope we keep James. A bit non plussed about kean as not seen the quality he supposedly has yet, but we won't replace what James can do.

The problem is no one wants our deadwood - iwobi Davies Delph etc - any link is just paper talk. Salaries are too high no doubt. One big mess of epic proportions

A few clubs are interested in Iwobi.

A couple of clubs want Delph, namely Watford, but he needs to lower his wage demands.

Davies were trying to use in swap deals.

Sounds like we might be trying to force Kean and James to find moves so we can actually buy a right back before the window shuts. Couldn’t be less arsed about Kean going especially if we get £30m+, but James? It’s the wrong call from Benitez.

I think that opportunity has passed for the next year or two while the club get the finances back under control.

A lot has been wasted and that is water under the bridge now. We are trapped by financial limits for the time being.
