A lot of ifs, but if we can shift a few for some money in the next 2 weeks. We may be able to get a few in. If James & kean don’t won’t to be here, then try and get rid, I can’t be arsed with players who won’t give their all.
And maybe Gomes as well, seems a bit strange why he’s not in the training video. Unless he’s injured or isolating. And With Brighton and Southampton looking for CB’s maybe Holgate goes late in the window.
I hope we can get a quality RW in. Add a decent RB and a striker on loan. I think our first 11. Won’t be bad with 4/5 decent bench players to. Again the season will come down to injuries and keeping our best 11 fit. In the mix for top 7 wouldn’t be out the question

If you're trying to foster team spirit, having 2 blokes constantly going on about how they don't want to play for the club around doesn't help. The sooner they leave, the better.

No doubt James isn't Rafael's cup of tea and that's disappointing because he's clearly, technically the best player we've had in a long time but this is the same guy who was on twitch only a couple of nights ago openly saying the club isn't great to Yerry Mina and we know as soon as Carlo left he had his agent touting him to all the big boys trying to get him out the club - we know this because his agent said so.
Whilst i think it's insane not to play him if he's fit - or at least not to have him on the bench, the impression i get from James is he really isn't that bothered if he plays or not and he's certainly not fighting his case to be in the team Saturday, this is the same guy who picked and chose when he felt like playing last season - and yes some of those were injuries but others were not. If Dom said he's missing games as he's tired the bed sheet brigade would be outside one of his neighbours houses with some strongly worded linin!
Now maybe he isn't bothered about fighting to be in the team because Rafael has already told him it's pointless - hopefully Benitez gets a grilling today from the media and if that's the case he deserves to be criticized. Maybe James has asked to train separately and not play so as to avoid injury before leaving, maybe like last season he just doesn't fancy it this weekend - who knows. I imagine it's a bit of Rafael wanting demanding something James can't/won't offer, the club wanting his massive wage off the books so are protecting the saleable asset (this is a guy that gets inquired quite easily) and James not really giving an arse - he has Call of Duty to play.
Also, and i know I'm being an old fart here.... but i have a real issue with a player - any player being on a social media platform talking about his relationship with the club and manager. It's unprofessional. Yannick Bolaisie did it last year and i hated it, Rom use to go away every Int window and speak about how he was better than us and that. i just think certain things and feelings should be kept within finch farm walls. Maybe if the club was better at communicating then maybe players wouldn't feel the need to bare their souls whilst playing video games but hey... like i said, i'm being an old fart.
I guess i just dislike these factions that are forming and a ball hasn't even been kicked yet. Team Brands or Team Moshiri, Team James or Team Rafael and the thing is depending on which way you go you can twist any story, any journalistic BS or transfer rumour to suit your narrative. Rationality goes out the window... *Everton linked with Longstaff* well we know Rafael want's James out - SCREW HIM, HE'S TURNING US IN TO NEWCASTLE!!! Is he? Everton football club, results and the 25 other players suddenly don't matter because it's more important being able to say i told you so to another guy who made the same unfortunately decision as you did many years ago to support a team that will be the death of you.
To conclude - i hope James plays, i hope we win and i hope we can all be friends again. I hope Rafael does well because if he's doing well then the club is doing well and that's all i care about.
